This is more a marketing question but I'm not sure where to place this question?
I'm placing this question as an avid Notes supporter. My concern is that Outlook/Exchange is winning the email war even in established Notes accounts. This puts huge pressure on established Notes applications. There only seems to be two alternatives for IBM/Lotus:
1. Fight back with an agressive, highly funded marketing campaign to increase NotesMail 6.0 installations.
2. Develop tight integration with Outlook/Exchange and provide developers with powerful integration tools. Once done, it's equally important to convince the world that Notes apps can effectively co-exist with Outlook/Exchange.
I believe that both 1 & 2 should be pursued.
I've been with Notes since 1990. I've seen a number of promising Lotus products that died because of ineffective marketing. I don't want Notes to suffer the same fate.
